Name the filing and format
Prepare the case reference and document title. Copies cost $1.25 per page; certification adds $5 to the copy charge.

Check whether an older file must be brought onsite
The court says offsite retrieval may take two to three days. Confirm availability before travelling for an older document.

The published location is the customer-service window outside Room 117, Safety Building, 821 West State Street. Copy service is listed Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Use different remedies for a wrong entry and a missing case
An entry in the court record is wrong
The Criminal Division links a Request to Correct Error in Court Records form. Send it as instructed to that division; it says a determination will be followed by a written response. Identify the exact entry and correction sought.
A WCCA query returns no case
The court explains that an expunged case file is sealed and will not appear through a name or case-number query. A missing online result therefore cannot, by itself, establish that no proceeding existed.
The material belongs to the Sheriff
Use the Sheriff’s online request form or its email, mail, fax or in-person channels. Describe the incident and requested item specifically—for example, the report or recording—so the request addresses the file you actually need.
